At Limerick we’re driven to make life better for new moms. We’re ecstatic that our research and passion helped to get the bipartisan Friendly Airports for Mothers (FAM) Improvement Act signed into law.
Moms deserve better and we at Limerick are driven to find ways to not just talk about the issues but to help make it better. We are very excited and proud to share that our research and passion helped provide U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) with some of the facts and research she needed to make a successful argument to get the bipartisan Friendly Airports for Mothers (FAM) Improvement Act signed into law. Here is her statement on the significance of the bill:
“When traveling, you’d never be expected to eat your meal in a bathroom stall, yet for many new mothers, that’s the reality they face,” Duckworth said. “Two years ago, Congress took the first step in making air travel easier for new parents by passing my bipartisan FAM Act and supporting breastfeeding travelers. Now, we are building upon that success by ensuring small airports are included as well so no traveling mothers in this country are left behind. I’m pleased this new law received support from my colleagues on both sides of the aisle and am pleased that it will soon help working moms across the country and make travel more family-friendly.”
