Parent Coaches

Carla started her career as a CPA and eventually found her way to coaching, which she has been doing for 13+ years. Her base of clients is primarily working parents, with a specialty in coaching through personal and professional transitions. She has expanded her skills to include certifications in The Gottman Institute’s Bringing Baby Home program, EQ in action and TRACOM Social Styles. Carla lives in Seattle with her husband, Dan, their three kids and puppy.
Background
Carla earned her credential as a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation (IFC). To pursue her dream of opening her own coaching business, she left her job of 23 years at a Fortune 500 company where she started her career as a CPA. Prior to leaving, she was a founding member of the Internal Executive Coaching Team, serving as an executive coach to leaders in transition throughout the company.
Carla has coached extensively in the professional services environment at all levels. She has expertise in the transitions that working parents face, the complexities of advancing women and the journey through leadership transitions. She has worked with working parents, new partners, direct admit partners, titled leaders and emerging leaders. Carla has also worked extensively with women in transition and small-group coaching.
Carla earned her BA in Accounting from the University of St. Thomas. She completed her coach training through inviteChange, an accredited coach training program.
What is something that you wish every working parent knew?
You can say no! Time is precious and you get to choose when to say yes, no or negotiate.
What do you love to do when you are not working?
Walking while listening to audiobooks (two of my favorite recharge activities at the same time). I return home a much more peaceful version of me.

After spending most of her career in the nonprofit sector, Libby became credentialed as a coach in 2012. She is trained in the work of Dr. Brené Brown and is a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator as well as a Gottman Institute Bringing Baby Home Educator. Libby has coached C-suite executives as well as career-changers, entrepreneurs and parents returning to work after being at home. Libby lives in Seattle with her husband, Brent, and their three sons.
What do you think is most powerful about coaching?
Being seen. Having a space to explore what’s true and what’s possible with someone who is not invested in a particular outcome. Being asked powerful questions and learning new ways of being that make life feel more joyful, interesting and doable.
What is something that you wish that every working parent knew?
You are the expert on your own child and what works best for your family. You can trust yourself! We’re all just making it up as we go along.

Prior to becoming a coach, Rebekah worked 20+ years as a professional actor. She coaches an array of clients with a strong focus on working parents. She is certified in The Gottman Institute's Bringing Baby Home program. Rebekah lives in L.A. with her husband, Michael, and their two boys.
What is something that you wish every working parent knew?
Everyone is struggling. You are not alone or failing or “doing it wrong.” No one has it all together. The sooner we all come clean about that, the more strength and joy we’ll find as parents.
What do you love to do when you are not working?
I love just being around my kids doing the simple things—walking the dog, playing catch, driving to practices. Those are the times they start talking, sharing their deep thoughts, their challenges, discoveries and joys. Those are the best life moments. I also run, love movies and make the best chocolate chip pancakes ever.

Peter is a certified coach with five years of experience in leadership, transition and career coaching. He is particularly passionate about partnering with clients who want to continue achieving in their careers while also being present as parents. He is certified in the Hogan Assessment, StandOut, a strengths-based assessment, and The Gottman Institute's Bringing Baby Home program. Peter lives in L.A. with his husband, Andrew, and their two young boys.
What do you think is most powerful about coaching?
I am inspired to help clients tap into their own resourcefulness. Only they know what’s right for them.
What is one of your favorite life hacks for thriving as a working parent?
Meal delivery services have been a lifesaver. We picked one where the food just needs to be reheated, and we are able to get at least two weeknight dinners out of it.
